Hey everyone! I am sorry to say that I will have to take a break from doodles for a while due to a finger injury to my right hand. It is splinted at the moment and will be for a few weeks or at least until enough of the swelling and pain goes away and I can bear some weight on it (right hand and finger). The good thing is, I have some things in mind that I really can't wait to start drawing. The bad thing is, well I have some things in mind and I am NOT happy right now because I can't get started on them. I am looking forward to getting back to it and am confident that this will be a speedy recovery. Until next time....

Zinnocence is currently going through some changes. I am rearranging and changing some elements of the website. You may have noticed that the Products page has been replaced with a shopping tab. I will be listing items by category there to make your experience when buy/viewing newly created items more enjoyable. Thank you for your patience and in the meantime, you can go directly to my store http://www.zazzle.com/zinnocence* for shopping.
The wallpaper gallery is no longer up. I took it down for a number of reason, with the main reason being that I've been working and enjoying myself creating and sharing my doodles with friends and family. There are also a number of fractals that I would like to share that have been sitting quietly waiting for a chance to be seen. So as much as I liked the wallpaper gallery, I had to unfortunately part ways with it until further notice. Good bye wallpaper gallery....
It seems like forever since the last time I've come here and I apologize for the gaps. As many of you know, the East Coast was hit pretty hard by Sandy. Although we didn't suffer much in Connecticut, there were still some after storm issues to deal with. My heart and prayers go out to those who are still in the mix of recovering from the aftermath of the hurricane and I commend those working hard to restore some normalcy to the many lives that have been devastated by the storm.
I've been working/learning a few new fractal programs and still am at a standstill on whether or not I want to add ultra fractal to the list. So far I am having a blast just using the Sterling program and have found some interesting places to explore in that particular program and Tierazon. Both are older fractal generators, but old doesn't always mean that they have to be counted out. Given the fact that fractals are basically infinite, the possibilities of what can be discovered is limitless. Other programs I have tried, but am still figuring out are Apophysis and Chaos Pro. I wouldn't really call Chaos Pro a fractal generator per se. Although it has the ability to render flames, the vast majority of what I have gotten is some strange shapes (hence the title strange attractor) with beautiful colors. I will give Apophysis another try, but I am really not the flame type, but have seen some gorgeous complicated fractals created by those who use it and the animations are eerily soothing in their movement and fluidness. There are so many more programs to try and not nearly enough hours in the day to play with all of them, and so many more formulas to write in Tierazon. Color seems to be the biggest task to tackle when one finally finds something that a keeper. I think I spend more time on color than anything. Sometimes I have to go back the next day or a few days later to decide and sometimes a decision can't be made and well..... the fractal ends up put away in a nice little file with the others that haven't been give color. Happy creating guys and if you can hunt down a good tut for Chaos, don't be afraid to pass it along. My personal search has been futile to say the least and I am going with the trial and error method of learning at this time. Columbus Day Sale! 14.92% off all orders, now through Monday!
Use Code: THEOCEANBLUE Visit Zinnocence and see the latest designs from phone accessories to t-shirts. Hello everyone. I've been a bit under the weather lately so progress has slowed down a bit for putting up new wallpaper and the showcasing of new designs in the main gallery. I am hoping to get back to getting things up soon and it really will depend on how I am feeling. I have added a few new designs to the gallery and will work on getting the wallpapers into the gallery.
New to Zinnocence's products is a cute red hearts and black paw print pattern with a blue paw print in the center. Great design for girls and to show your love for your pets. See products page to see the design and visit Zinnocence to see other items with this upbeat design.
The costumes, the candy, Mischief Night, and fun! Halloween is creeping up on us faster than we think. Are you ready? It's the one time of the year that kids get to eat a lot of candy and dress up in some of the most interesting costumes from creepy to cute and wear them out in public and it's perfectly fine. The leaves falling off the trees in heaps of yellows and browns. The cool air a reminder of the changing seasons, and the stillness as we wind down from summer's fun are all things that I enjoy. Getting ready early helps beat the hectic pace of last minute preparations and the anticipation of a nice slice of pumpkin pie and a cup of warm apple cider chase away the chills is always welcoming. Those are just a few of my favorite things about Halloween. Invitation cards and other Halloween items are entering Zinnocence now. Get ready early and beat the rush. Get ready! The new iPhone is out so are the cases! They will feature along with other designs I have created, the Arachnia Collection! The cases are available in vibe (good for those who play music on the iPhone on a regular basis) and a nice barely there thin case. See products page or visit my store.
What a weekend! I have been busy creating new fractal designs for both products and the wallpaper gallery. I am working on getting them up and hope you enjoy them. There are two black and white designs that I am trying out and am at a 50/50 split about how I feel about them. The designs are really nice, but I am one who loves bright colors or very dark, but interesting colors so to create something in standard black and white was a bit iffy. On the other hand, when I look at them, I think about a Zebra with a more elegant pattern than the others. I think "wouldn't it be nice if they actually did have something other than stripes".
The most recent designs are from the Julia and Lyapunov family and both render very interesting designs with either no transformation or an arctan transformation. When I look at them, I smile and think that this is one of very few times when "math is a beautiful thing" definitely applies. |
